We are seeking a Mobile Air Conditioning Engineer to deliver high-quality, air-conditioning-biased building services maintenance across a variety of commercial client properties within the designated region.

This role involves a strong focus on fault finding, repairs, PPM and reactive works on a range of AC and refrigeration systems, ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation and industry best practice.

Job Description

We are looking for an engineer with significant hands-on experience in AC, refrigeration or wider HVAC systems, who is confident working independently in a mobile capacity and comfortable following strict Health & Safety procedures.

You will also provide support with general building services maintenance as required.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver AC and refrigeration-biased PPM, reactive and proactive maintenance tasks within agreed SLA timeframes.
  • Diagnose, repair, modify and install refrigeration and AC equipment, including compressors, chillers and system controls.
  • Conduct regular preventive maintenance inspections and carry out necessary adjustments or repairs.
  • Replace or repair defective parts in AC/refrigeration units, including thermostats, automatic switches, relays, fans, belts and valves.
  • Install, rebuild or repair equipment such as fans, motors, filters, controls, bearings, gaskets and valves as required.
  • Complete other building services maintenance tasks, including fabric, HVAC and mechanical works.
  • Follow strict Health & Safety procedures, including the completion of risk assessments and method statements.
  • Work effectively within FM/commercial building environments, providing excellent customer service at all times.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Significant experience in air conditioning, refrigeration or HVAC-related maintenance, including fault finding and installation.
  • Strong background in PPM and reactive building services maintenance.
  • Experience working within FM or commercial property environments.
  • Proven ability to work safely under risk assessments and method statements.
  • City & Guilds 2079 Safe Handling of Refrigerants or CITB J11 equivalent, AND one of the following:
  • NVQ 2/3 / City & Guilds in Commercial Refrigeration & AC Systems, OR
  • NVQ 2/3 or City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation, OR
  • NVQ 2/3 / City & Guilds in Heating & Ventilation Service & Maintenance.
  • Full UK driving licence (mobile role).
