Mobile Crane Operator (CDL-B) Waste Collection Specialist

Early Team Member Opportunity

Subcontain is launching a new waste collection system in the United States and is looking for a professional equipment operator who takes pride in safety, precision, and building a long-term career. This is not a traditional garbage truck position. Operators use a truck-mounted crane system to service semi-underground waste containers at commercial properties throughout the Charlotte region.

Not Your Typical Waste Collection Job

Subcontain provides a smarter alternative to traditional dumpsters. Our semi-underground waste container system has been successfully used for more than 35 years across Europe and Canada, and we are now introducing this proven infrastructure to the Charlotte market. We are looking for a professional driver and crane operator who wants more than just a job and who believes safety is non-negotiable.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safely operate a truck-mounted knuckle boom crane to service semi-underground waste containers
  • Service commercial locations including restaurants, retail centers, mixed-use properties, and multifamily communities
  • Drive and operate vehicles requiring a valid CDL-B license
  • Follow strict safety procedures when operating equipment around people, vehicles, and buildings
  • Use digital dispatch and mobile applications to log service activity and route completion
  • Represent Subcontain professionally when interacting with property managers, businesses, and the public
  • Perform daily equipment inspections and basic preventative maintenance
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe environment at each service location

Required Qualifications

  • Experience operating truck-mounted cranes, knuckle boom cranes, or similar equipment
  • Valid CDL-B license with a clean driving record
  • Strong commitment to safety and situational awareness
  • Comfortable using mobile apps and digital dispatch systems
  • Dependable, punctual, and accountable
  • Strong work ethic and pride in doing the job correctly

  • Represent Subcontain professionally at every location serviced Keep equipment clean, organized, and well maintained
