We are seeking an experienced Mobile Electrical Engineer & Authorised Person to provide electrical and building services engineering maintenance across a variety of client properties within a designated region.

The role involves carrying out electrical fault finding, repairs, planned maintenance and installation works, with a strong focus on delivering a reliable, professional service.

Job Description

We are looking for an individual who can manage both proactive and reactive maintenance activities, respond to callouts, and represent the company to a high standard at client sites.

This role also requires undertaking Authorised Person duties, contractor control, and ensuring compliance with all relevant electrical and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver electrical bias fault finding, repairs, maintenance and installation works across client sites.
  • Complete electrical PPM, proactive and reactive tasks issued through the helpdesk within agreed timeframes.
  • Carry out wider building services maintenance, including fabric, HVAC and mechanical-related tasks.
  • Provide callout response in line with the client callout rota requirements.
  • Undertake contractor control duties, including monitoring workmanship and issuing Permits to Work.
  • Ensure all electrical equipment operates to specified performance criteria.
  • Ensure equipment and surrounding areas conform to agreed company standards.
  • Represent the company professionally to ensure high levels of customer satisfaction.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Significant previous experience delivering reactive and PPM building services maintenance.
  • Experience working within facilities management or building services in commercial properties.

One of the following electrical qualifications:

  • NVQ 2356 / 2357 and NVQ 2356 AM2, or
  • City & Guilds 2330 Level 3 in Electrical Installation with AM1 and AM2, or
  • City & Guilds 236/2360 Electrical Installations Part 1 & 2.
  • 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

Desirable

  • Recognised electrical apprenticeship.
  • City & Guilds 2394/2395 (Inspection & Testing).
  • JIB accreditation.
  • IPAF and/or PASMA certification.Authorised Person (AP) Information
  • City & Guilds 2391 (required to become the Authorised Person).
  • £2,000 Authorised Person allowance payable once AP status is achieved.
  • AP qualification typically achieved within approximately 3 months.
  • AP duties to be carried out across the whole of East Anglia.
