Mobile Phlebotomist - Certified Medical Assistant

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Mobile Phlebotomist and Certified Medical Assistants to join our team. This vital role involves traveling within designated communities to perform blood specimen collection and related procedures, ensuring accurate and efficient patient care. The ideal candidate will possess strong clinical laboratory skills, excellent patient service abilities, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

The Duties:
  • Collect blood samples through venipuncture and capillary techniques, adhering to proper aseptic procedures.
  • Obtain vital signs and assess patient physiology to ensure safe specimen collection.
  • Prepare and process specimens accurately for laboratory testing, following established protocols.
  • Provide exceptional patient care by explaining procedures clearly, addressing concerns, and maintaining a respectful demeanor.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of collection procedures, patient information, and specimen handling.
  • Ensure compliance with medical terminology standards and laboratory safety guidelines at all times.
  • Travel efficiently within assigned areas (typically within 15 miles of your home) to reach patients in various settings, including homes, clinics, or hospitals.
Experience Required:
  • At least 1 year of prior experience drawing blood, as well as experience in laboratory procedures, techniques, or clinical laboratory settings, is highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in phlebotomy, venipuncture, blood sampling, and specimen processing.
  • Knowledge of anatomy and physiology relevant to blood collection and patient care.
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare environment is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology and aseptic techniques ensures accuracy and safety during procedures.
  • Strong communication skills for interacting effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
