Qualifications and experience

- Often needs 3-5 years of experience in a hospital leadership or supervisory role.

Key responsibilities
- Operational oversight: Ensures all departments, including medical, nursing, housekeeping, and administration, function efficiently and safely.
- Staff supervision: Provides leadership and support to on-duty staff, manages staffing schedules, and addresses any staffing or conflict issues.
- Emergency and incident management: Acts as the primary point of contact for emergencies and critical incidents, coordinating responses and ensuring staff are prepared.
- Patient care: Addresses patient and family grievances, facilitates admissions, discharges, and transfers, and ensures high standards of patient care are maintained.
- Administrative duties: Handles administrative and regulatory compliance, documents incidents, and acts as a liaison for various hospital-related issues.
- Liaison and coordination: Coordinates with doctors, nurses, and other staff to ensure smooth patient care delivery. They also coordinate with departments like billing and front office.
- Facility rounds: Conducts rounds to check on service standards, hygiene, and any deficiencies in patient care areas, including the ER, ICU, and operating theaters.
