Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Moderator, located in Cairo. The Moderator will be responsible for monitoring, reviewing, and managing user-generated content to ensure adherence to community guidelines. This role involves engaging with users in a professional and respectful manner, addressing disputes, escalating issues when necessary, and providing feedback to improve community interactions. Additional responsibilities include identifying and reporting trends, contributing to the refinement of moderation policies, and maintaining a positive and inclusive environment for all participants.

Qualifications

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage and resolve conflicts tactfully.
  • Attention to detail and analytical skills for identifying trends and ensuring compliance with guidelines and policies.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure to handle high volumes of content in real-time.
  • Familiarity with community management tools, content moderation software, and basic digital platforms.
  • Previous experience in moderation, community management, or customer-facing roles is advantageous.
  • Strong understanding of cultural sensitivities relevant to user-generated content and the ability to make unbiased decisions.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Social Sciences, or a related field is preferred but not required.
  • Proficiency in English and Arabic is highly desirable.
