Modernization & Application Senior Specialist .Customer and Partner Management

Job Purpose

To help Etisalat build functional systems that improve the customer experience. The job holder will be responsible for the smooth operation of a company's IT infrastructure. A modernization team will be responsible for designing, developing, and managing Etisalat application architecture and strategies that align with the organization's overall enterprise architecture.

Report To Position Name

•Performing the needed POCs to build Etisalat’s cloud framework targeting enhancing productivity •Work closely with other teams to identify applications that can be redesigned to be cloud-native. •Collaborate with the DevOps team to create deployment and automation strategies for cloud-native applications. •Identify and manage risks associated with the modernization processes. •Support in developing and maintaining the PaaS platform. •Conduct regular training and knowledge-sharing sessions for other teams on cloud-native development and deployment best practices. •Work with the team to Identify and manage risks associated with the modernization processes. •Collaborate with other professionals to determine functional and non-functional requirements for new software or applications. •Develop high-level product specifications with attention to system integration and feasibility. •Define all aspects of development from appropriate technology and workflow to coding standards. •Communicate successfully all concepts and guidelines to development team. •Oversee progress of development team to ensure consistency with initial design. •Provide technical guidance and coaching to developers and engineers. •Ensure software meets all requirements of quality, security, modifiability, extensibility etc

QUALIFICATIONS_ESSENTIAL

Knowledge: •Excellent knowledge in SCM systems like git, Github and Gitlab. •Excellent knowledge in CI-CD pipelines. •Excellent knowledge in docker, podman & k8s (OpenShift knowledge preferred). •Good knowledge in Nexus, Jira, Monitoring, Logging, Service mesh, GitOps & SonarQube. Education: •Degree in computer science, software engineering, or an adjacent field. Language Proficiency: •Fluency in both spoken & written English & Arabic language is required.

EXPERIENCE_ESSENTIAL

Prior Work Experience: •Proficiency in popular programming languages like Java, Node.js, PHP, Python, and Ruby on Rails. •Understanding of how databases, networks, and other critical IT functions work. •Strong knowledge of enterprise computing and operating systems (OS) and cloud computing platforms, such as Linux, Windows, Microsoft Azure, and Amazon Web Services (AWS) •Basic business skills to aid organizations in developing cloud-based solutions for business requirements. •Experience working with legacy information systems. •Excellent knowledge in SCM systems like git, Github and Gitlab. •Excellent knowledge in CI-CD pipelines. •Excellent knowledge in docker, podman & k8s (OpenShift & EKS knowledge preferred). •Good knowledge in Nexus, Jira, Monitoring, Logging, Service mesh, GitOps & SonarQube
