Beatson's Building Supplies is one of Scotland's largest independent Builders Merchants. We trade as Beatson's Building Supplies but also have two depots trading as Orchard Timber Products Ltd and have three other trading divisions Beatson's Direct our ecommerce business, Beatson's Concrete our ready-mix concrete business and Skyline Roofing Supplies our specialist roofing merchant business. We employ around 160 people across our 8 sites in Alloa, Cumbernauld, Dunfermline, Penicuik,Livingston,Forfar, Errol & Stirling.

Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a full time Moffett Driver to join our Orchard Timber Products team in Livingston. Working as part of a team, and reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out multi drop deliveries of building materials to businesses and private properties throughout central Scotland.

Your key responsibilities include:

• Safe operation of a Moffett truck for deliveries and collections
• Loading and unloading goods efficiently using the Moffett
• Conducting pre- and post-operation checks of the vehicle and Moffett equipment
• Delivering goods to various sites, ensuring customer satisfaction
• Adhering to health & safety regulations and company policies
• Maintaining accurate records of deliveries.
• Report damages, safety issues, accidents, or any other significant problems to the branch manager.

Key Skills:

• HGV Class C Licence
• Current CPC and Tacho cards
• Moffett licence and proven experience in operating a Moffett forklift
• Multi-drop pick-up experience essential
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Flexible approach to work
• Good time management
• Safety conscious
• Good geographical knowledge of Scotland

Salary: Depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Hours: Monday to Friday 0730-1700 and every second Saturday 0730-1200

Holidays: 29 days Pro rata (closed for 10 days over the festive period)

Uniform and PPE provided

Paid weekly
