Emergency Project: Relief, Recovery & Resilience in Pakistan (KP & Punjab)

About Us:

Idara-e-Taleem-o-Aagahi (ITA) is a leading national non-profit organization committed to promoting quality education, lifelong learning, and social protection for marginalized communities across Pakistan. With over 25 years of experience, ITA has successfully implemented large-scale education and emergency response programs during earthquakes, floods, conflicts, displacement, and the COVID-19 pandemic. Our interventions place special emphasis on girls, women, minorities, and children with disabilities, ensuring inclusive, equitable, and sustainable development. ITA partners closely with government departments, international donors, and local communities to deliver impactful solutions in education, climate resilience, child protection, and community empowerment.

Project Overview:

ITA is launching an Emergency Support Action to assist flood-affected schools and communities in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab. The project will focus on restoring partially damaged schools, providing accelerated learning and remedial education, and supporting children, especially girls and adolescents, with psychosocial care, life skills, and essential learning materials. Interventions will also include provision of WASH, menstrual hygiene management (MHM), and health kits, along with community-based climate change resilience actions. By combining relief, recovery, and resilience, ITA seeks to ensure that children and communities, especially girls emerge stronger from this climate-induced crisis.

This initiative aims to:

  • Support families with essential relief and health/hygiene needs.
  • Promote climate resilience and sustainable community rebuilding.
  • Rebuild safe and functional learning spaces for children and youth.
  • Equip learners with remedial education, life skills, Mental Health & Psychosocial support.

Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education, Social Sciences, Economics, Statistics, or a related field.
Experience: 2-3 years of relevant experience in managing field-level collection of quantitative and qualitative data for M&E, preferably in education or emergency response projects.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong skills in monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
  • Proficiency in statistical/data analysis software and digital tools for M&E.
  • Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills (written & verbal).
  • Ability to support adaptive management and learning in fast-changing emergency contexts.
  • Familiarity with education in emergencies, WASH/MHM, and psychosocial support indicators preferred.

Job Description:

  • Conduct rapid needs assessments, baseline, and monitoring surveys in flood-affected districts.
  • Collect, analyze, and manage quantitative and qualitative data frequently to track project results.
  • Monitor school restoration, remedial learning, WASH, and psychosocial interventions against set KPIs.
  • Support project teams in using M&E findings for adaptive planning and reporting to donors.
  • Build field staff capacity in data collection tools and compliance with M&E systems.
  • Prepare district-level monthly and quarterly progress reports.
  • Ensure compliance with ITA’s safeguarding, PSEA, and accountability standards.
  • Make sure posts of all the activities on social media channels by regular coordination with communication department.
  • Contribute to documentation of lessons learned and best practices for resilience-building.
