We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) and Montessori Junior Educator/Teacher Assistant to join our dynamic team in Abu Dhabi. The ideal candidate will support the lead teacher in creating a nurturing, stimulating, and developmentally appropriate environment that promotes the holistic growth of young children by integrating both EYFS and Montessori approaches.
Responsibilities
- Support in planning and delivering a well-rounded curriculum based on EYFS and Montessori principles, focusing on academic, social, emotional, and physical development.
- Assist in creating a safe, engaging, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration, independence, and creativity.
- Help prepare age-appropriate lesson plans, activities, and learning materials tailored to children’s individual needs and learning styles.
- Build and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues, ensuring open and professional communication.
- Assist in monitoring and documenting children’s progress, keeping accurate and up-to-date records for assessments and parent reporting.
- Collaborate effectively with the teaching team to support a harmonious and productive learning environment.
- Use educational tools and basic technology to enhance teaching and learning.
- Use Microsoft Word and PowerPoint to prepare teaching materials and simple presentations.
- Assist in writing reports on children’s progress and development.
- Help prepare weekly lesson plans and contribute creative ideas for diverse and interactive activities.
- Assist in sending weekly letters or updates to parents about classroom activities and learning objectives.
- Participate in parent meetings and support the lead teacher in discussing children’s progress or concerns.
- Contribute to maintaining a positive, inclusive, and organized classroom environment.
- Follow regular working hours: 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday to Friday.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience working in an EYFS and/or Montessori early years setting.
- CACHE Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Early Years Education.
- Strong understanding of EYFS framework and Montessori philosophy.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and interpersonal skills.
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and PowerPoint).
- Ability to support a positive, inclusive, and child-centered learning environment.
- Knowledge of child development, behavior management, and age-appropriate learning strategies.
- Flexible, adaptable, and committed to the well-being and development of children.
Salary
