Nursery Assistant – Barefoot Nursery

Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE
Type: Full-Time

At Barefoot Nursery, we believe children learn best when they feel safe, loved, and free to explore the world with curiosity. We are looking for a kind-hearted, energetic Nursery Assistant who shares our passion for creative play, gentle care, and meaningful early childhood experiences.

If you hold a CACHE Level 2 or ADEK PASS, have at least one year of nursery experience, and enjoy supporting children of all abilities (including those with SEN), we would love to meet you.

Your Role at Barefoot Nursery

• Support the class teacher in creating a warm, engaging, and play-rich environment.
• Join children in their daily discoveries from sensory play to storytelling to outdoor adventures.
• Help prepare learning areas that inspire curiosity, independence, and creativity.
• Build positive, nurturing relationships with every child and offer gentle guidance where needed.
• Assist in following daily routines: snack time, hygiene, rest, outdoor time, and free play.
• Keep the classroom tidy, organized, and inviting.
• Observe children’s interests and share insights with the teacher to support their growth.
• Offer extra care and support to children with SEN, under the guidance of the teacher or SENCO.
• Uphold ADEK and nursery safeguarding standards at all times.
• Communicate with parents in a warm, professional, and reassuring manner.

What We’re Looking For

• CACHE Level 2 or ADEK PASS (required)
• Minimum 1 year of nursery or early years experience
• Experience supporting children with SEN is a strong advantage
• A gentle, patient, and child-focused approach
• Ability to work well within a collaborative, creative team
• Genuine passion for early childhood development and play-based learning
