Montessori Home Room Teacher-Izmir Town

American Lyceum International School is seeking a nurturing, dedicated, and experienced Montessori Homeroom Teacher to join our Early Years/Primary Section. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and practice, and a genuine passion for early childhood education.

The Homeroom Teacher will be responsible for managing all aspects of the classroom environment and serving as the primary caregiver and educator for a group of students, helping them develop independence, confidence, and a love of learning.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan and implement Montessori-based lessons and activities tailored to the developmental needs of the children.
• Create a safe, stimulating, and structured classroom environment that promotes self-directed learning.
• Observe, assess, and document student progress regularly.
• Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development in each child.
• Maintain regular communication with parents regarding student development and classroom activities.
• Collaborate with other teachers and staff to ensure a holistic learning experience.
• Organize and participate in school events, meetings, and training sessions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
• Montessori certification from a recognized institution (AMI/AMS preferred).
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in a Montessori environment.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Passionate, patient, and committed to child-centered learning.
