The Montessori Teacher will be responsible for guiding young learners (ages 2.5 – 6 years) using the Montessori philosophy and methodology. The teacher must foster independence, curiosity, and creativity in children while ensuring a nurturing and well-prepared learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver lessons based on the Montessori curriculum and philosophy.
- Prepare and maintain a well-structured, stimulating, and safe classroom environment with Montessori materials.
- Guide students individually and in groups to help them explore, discover, and learn at their own pace.
- Foster independence, self-discipline, and responsibility in children.
- Observe and assess each child’s progress, documenting growth and identifying areas of improvement.
- Communicate regularly with parents about student development and learning goals.
- Encourage curiosity, creativity, and love for learning through hands-on activities.
- Maintain discipline and classroom harmony through positive guidance.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and participate in school events, staff meetings, and training sessions.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Education or Early Childhood Education (B.Ed/M.Ed preferred).
- Montessori Diploma/Certification from a recognized institution is mandatory.
- Prior experience working in a Montessori environment (minimum 1–2 years preferred).
- Strong command of English (spoken and written).
- Passionate, patient, and empathetic towards young children.
