Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate, experienced, and certified Montessori Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience in a Montessori setting and a deep understanding of Montessori philosophy, child development, and classroom management. This role involves guiding children aged [2.5–6 years or other age group] through hands-on, self-directed learning while creating a nurturing, respectful, and stimulating classroom environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curriculum Implementation:

Deliver Montessori curriculum in accordance with AMI/AMS/IMC standards and the developmental needs of the children.

  • Prepared Environment:

Maintain an orderly, clean, and inviting Montessori classroom with age-appropriate materials that foster independence and learning.

  • Child Observation & Assessment:

Observe and assess children’s development, recording progress and identifying individual learning needs.

  • Lesson Planning:

Prepare individual and group lesson plans that align with Montessori pedagogy and support the holistic development of each child.

  • Classroom Management:

Foster a peaceful, respectful, and collaborative classroom culture that supports independence and concentration.

  • Parent Communication:

Maintain regular communication with parents through meetings, progress reports, and conferences.

  • Professional Development:

Stay current with educational best practices and attend relevant workshops and trainings as required.

  • Collaboration:

Work cooperatively with assistant teachers, support staff, and school leadership to ensure a consistent and high-quality learning experience.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Montessori Certification from a recognized institution (AMI, AMS, or equivalent)
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field (preferred)
  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Montessori teacher in a formal Montessori environment
  • Strong understanding of Montessori philosophy and early childhood development
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, creativity, and a passion for child-centered education

Preferred Attributes:

  • Ability to adapt to diverse learning needs and backgrounds
  • Experience using observation and documentation tools
  • Familiarity with parent engagement tools and platforms
  • Team-oriented with a growth mindset
