Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Montessori Teacher to inspire young learners in an engaging, nurturing environment that emphasizes independence, curiosity, and holistic development. As a Montessori Teacher, you will create a vibrant classroom atmosphere aligned with Montessori principles, fostering a love of learning through carefully prepared activities and personalized instruction. Your role will be instrumental in supporting children's social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth while ensuring a safe and stimulating space for exploration. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on early childhood education and development. Position hours are based on a 40 hour workweek, 34.5 hours weekly required in the classroom mid August through mid May.

Duties

  • Design and implement age-appropriate Montessori curriculum that promotes literacy education, math skills, physical education, and overall childhood development
  • Prepare and maintain classroom materials that support curriculum goals, including activities for toddler care, early intervention, and special education needs
  • Observe and assess individual student progress to tailor lesson plans that meet diverse learning styles and developmental stages
  • Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies
  • Support children’s social-emotional well-being by encouraging cooperation, respect, and self-regulation
  • Collaborate with parents, caregivers, and other educational professionals to discuss student progress and develop personalized learning plans
  • Maintain accurate records of student activities, assessments, and standardized testing results while ensuring child welfare standards are upheld
  • Incorporate teaching physical education and tutoring sessions to enhance overall child development and engagement

Experience

  • Prior classroom experience in early childhood education or preschool settings is essential
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Montessori methods and curriculum development techniques
  • Experience working with children with special education needs or in early intervention programs is highly desirable
  • Familiarity with classroom management strategies tailored for young learners
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
  • Previous private school or daycare experience is preferred but not required
  • Certification in 3 - 6 Montessori training is required

Pay: $32,873.00 - $44,094.00 per year
