Responsibilities

  • Design and implement engaging lesson plans aligned with Montessori curriculum standards, emphasizing hands-on learning and child-centered activities
  • Foster a nurturing classroom atmosphere that promotes independence, respect, and positive behavior management strategies
  • Observe and assess each child's developmental progress, tailoring instruction to meet individual needs in areas such as literacy education, math, physical education, and social skills
  • Maintain a well-organized classroom environment that encourages exploration and supports classroom management best practices
  • Collaborate with colleagues and parents to support children's emotional well-being, behavior management, and overall development
  • Incorporate early intervention techniques and special education strategies to support children with diverse learning needs
  • Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards related to childhood development, daycare practices, and child welfare

Requirements

  • Valid Montessori teaching certification or equivalent early childhood education credentials with a focus on Montessori methods
  • Prior classroom experience working with children in preschool or toddler care settings
  • Strong knowledge of childhood development principles, behavior management techniques, and classroom management skills
  • Experience with curriculum development across multiple domains including literacy education, math, physical education, and social-emotional learning
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and colleagues
  • Familiarity with standardized testing procedures and tutoring strategies to support student achievement
  • Ability to create an inclusive environment that respects diversity and promotes child welfare standards
  • Prior experience in private school or daycare settings is preferred

Pay: $25.67 - $27.00 per hour
