Morning Daycare Assistant

Job Title: Morning Daycare Assistant (Part-Time)

Location: Kids & Co. Childcare Center - 14 Center Bridge Rd. Turner, ME
Hours: 6:30 AM - 12:00 PM, Monday - Friday (5.5 hours per day)

Job Summary:
We are looking for a dedicated, personable individual to assist with the morning opening of our daycare center. This part-time role is ideal for someone who enjoys interacting with children and parents in the early hours of the day. The Morning Daycare Assistant will help children get ready for field trips, engage them in morning activities, and assist with sending breaks.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome and interact with parents and children as they arrive.
• Assist children with getting ready for school/field trips, including organizing their belongings.
• Send morning breaks
• Supervise and play with children until they depart.
• Assist with general clean-up of the daycare area
• Ensure the daycare space is set up and ready for the day.
• Needs to commit to a Monday - Friday schedule.
• Must be a morning person

Additional Hours (Optional):
If more hours are desired, you can return from 3:00 PM - 5:30 PM to assist with children as they get off the bus, supervise activities, and help with end-of-day clean-up. (During School Year Only). Full-Time hours are offered during the summer as well.

Qualifications:

• Passionate about working with children.
• Reliable and punctual, especially for early morning hours.
• Ability to engage with parents and children in a warm and professional manner.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs, bend over multiple times throughout the day, and assist with daily daycare tasks.
• Previous childcare experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $15.10 - $16.00 per hour
