Morning Kitchen Helper (Cooking & Prep)

Job Description:

We are a small dumpling shop in East Lansing (inside Kungfu Tea, near Michigan State University) looking for a reliable morning kitchen helper.

This position involves simple, repeatable kitchen tasks. Full training is provided, and the process is easy to learn.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys cooking at home and prefers a steady, consistent morning routine.

Responsibilities:

• Kitchen cleaning and maintaining a clean workspace
• Basic food prep (cutting vegetables, simple prep tasks)
• Cook dumplings (boiling, steaming, pan-frying) using timers and clear instructions

Schedule (Important):

• Wednesday – Sunday
• Around 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Must be available consistently during these hours

• Reliable and punctual
• Comfortable working independently after training
• Basic cooking skills (home cooking is perfectly fine)
• Able to follow simple instructions and use timers
• Comfortable with cleaning and keeping things organized
