Overview:

A warm, loving family of four in Burlingame, CA, is looking to hire a part-time live-out Family Assistant. The role is Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–1:00 PM (about 25–30 hours/week). They hope to fill the position immediately.

About the family:

This affectionate household includes two young children (ages 1 and 6). The older child attends school each day, so the mornings are typically spent with the toddler. The family values kindness, calm energy, and someone who will bring a joyful, steady presence to their home. They are seeking a candidate with a happy, upbeat, can-do attitude who wants to bond with their family long-term.

This is a hybrid role:

Some days you will be primarily with the toddler (childcare, outings, activities); other days you will focus more on household support while the parent is out. Flexibility and a helpful attitude are essential.

Key responsibilities:

- Provide attentive, loving daily childcare for the toddler: play, read, and support early learning through engaging activities

- Help get the toddler dressed and ready for the day

- Prepare and serve breakfast or lunch for the children

- Take the toddler to the park or playground for outdoor play

- Assist with light household tasks related to the children: tidy up after meals, wash dishes, put away laundry, make beds, wipe down surfaces, and organize kids’ rooms/clothes

- Run occasional errands (grocery or Target pickups, essentials)

- Be flexible day-to-day to balance childcare and household duties as needed

Qualifications and requirements:

- Minimum five years in-home experience

- Prior experience caring for toddler-aged children

- A warm, patient, and loving demeanor with an ability to adapt to family routines

- Happy, upbeat, can-do attitude and interest in building a long-term bond with the family

- Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

- Clean, valid driver’s license

- Current CPR certification

- Covid vaccinated

- Strong references demonstrating childcare experience
