Part-Time Nanny Merrick

A warm, dedicated single mom in North Merrick is seeking a loving, experienced part-time nanny for her 8-week-old baby. She owns and oversees a Long Island swim school and works hands-on, management-level hours, so reliability, safety awareness, and strong infant experience are extremely important.

This family has never had outside help before and is looking for someone nurturing, calm, and confident with newborn care who can become a consistent, trusted presence in their baby’s life.

There is a fenced yard and a friendly Goldendoodle, so comfort with dogs is essential (letting the dog in and out as needed).

Responsibilities:

• Full newborn/infant care
• Feeding, burping, soothing, naps
• Supporting early developmental milestones
• Maintaining safe sleep practices
• Preparing bottles as needed
• Light tidying related to baby
• Letting dog in/out
• Creating a calm, nurturing environment

Mom has some flexibility at work and, if absolutely needed, baby can occasionally come to the swim school — but she strongly prefers in-home support.

✨ Requirements:

• Strong newborn/infant experience (required)
• CPR & First Aid certified (infant experience preferred)
• Safety-focused and confident with newborn care
• Mature and reliable (not looking for someone inexperienced)
• Comfortable with dogs
• Flexible with seasonal schedule shifts
• Good communicator
• Long-term mindset preferred
