This individual is responsible for satisfying members’ mortgage financial needs in the following areas while meeting individual, department and organization goals:

Direct phone contact required with members, borrowers, and third parties.
- Maintain service levels for closing, funding and booking of mortgage transactions.

Audit loan files for completeness and maintain loan files in compliance with governmental regulations, investor requirements and credit union policy;

Review title work, survey, and loan lock and inform supervisor of discrepancies or other issues;

Prepare and balance settlement statements with closing partners.

Set-up and coordinate closing dates with members and title companies;
-
Prepare closing instructions and closing documents for closing agents of real estate transactions;
-
Board mortgage loans into the servicing system.
- Meet with members to execute refinance signings and explain loan documents;

Communicate timely with all parties involved in the loan transaction regarding the documentation needed to meet the closing date;

Prepare wires for funding – coordinating funds at title company prior to closing;
-
Prepare and disburse consumer payoffs.
- Prepare voucher for accounting to book income for the Mortgage Department;

Record applicable transaction with counties of record.

Comply with established regulations and law requirements;

Perform various other duties as assigned.
- Familiarity with workflow of mortgage transactions, common terms and how to navigate closing, funding and booking of real estate transactions.

Basic knowledge of underwriting guidelines, automated underwriting systems, and prefer at least one (1) year experience in a closing environment either with escrow, title or in a lending capacity.
- High school graduate, equivalent or qualifying experience in bookkeeping and financial areas;

Preferred working knowledge of current Windows OS and MS Office software and loan origination software;

Must be capable of handling extensive pipeline and perform in a fast-paced office environment;

Protect credit union’s image by keeping mortgage loan information confidential;

Must have good written and verbal communications skills.
