Job Description: Mortgage Loan Originator

We are seeking a licensed Mortgage Loan Originator to join our growing team! The MLO/Loan Officer is responsible for handling inbound requests, building rapport with customers and determining their mortgage needs, taking accurate and complete loan applications, quoting fees and interest rates, as well managing the transaction from application through closing. Key Responsibilities:

• Taking thorough and complete residential mortgage loan applications,
• Collecting and reviewing initial documentation needed for submission to Processing.
• Pricing loans, quoting fees and interest rates.
• Managing Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system, including client and file notes, follow-up tasks and other out-going client communications.
• Running automated approval systems (AUS), understanding the findings and correcting errors in the system as needed.
• Advising customers on the best loan programs for their needs.
• Evaluating credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits.
• Developing referral relationships and building referral networks to serve clients and generate new business sources.

Qualifications:

• Maintain an active Mortgage Loan Originator License
• In-Depth knowledge of industry standards
• Familiarity with Fannie, Freddie, FHA, VA, USDA, and portfolio mortgage lending
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
• Ability to work in a goal-oriented environment

Additional Skills: Bilingual (Spanish)

Compensation: $40,000 annual salary plus commission structure
