First Commerce Credit Union is growing - and we're looking for a bold, strategic, and service-focused Mortgage Processing and Compliance Manager to lead our mortgage operations with precision and purpose.

What You'll Do:

• Lead and manage a team of mortgage and HELOC/HELoan processors, closers, and quality assurance professionals.
• Oversee the full mortgage lifecycle - from processing and closing to post-closing and secondary market sales.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations (RESPA, TILA, HMDA, etc.).
• Develop and implement workflows, SLAs, and quality control measures to drive efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor loan pipelines and implement strategies to meet production and funding goals.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with loan officers, underwriters, servicers, and vendors to ensure a smooth member experience.
• Resolve escalated member inquiries with professionalism and care.
• Coach, mentor, and develop team members to achieve performance goals and uphold service standards.
• Analyze loan profitability and manage rates for loans sold or retained in portfolio.

What You Bring:

• 5+ years of experience in mortgage loan processing, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• A Bachelor's degree in a related field is strongly desired.
• Strong knowledge of mortgage products, loan origination systems (Encompass), and compliance regulations.
• Proven leadership skills with a track record of coaching and developing high-performing teams.
• Exceptional communication, organizational, and decision-making abilities.
• NMLS registration (or ability to obtain and maintain registration).
