Job Title: Mother Teacher (Playgroup to UKG)

Job Summary:
The Mother Teacher is responsible for creating a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for children in the playgroup to UKG levels. This role requires a warm, patient, and creative individual who can effectively teach foundational skills, foster social development, and support emotional growth while ensuring the well-being of each child.
Key Responsibilities:
- Early Childhood Education:
- Plan, prepare, and deliver age-appropriate lessons based on the curriculum.
- Focus on developing basic literacy, numeracy, motor skills, and social-emotional skills.
- Integrate sensory, physical, and cognitive activities to support the overall development of children.
- Use creative and playful methods (songs, games, arts, etc.) to make learning fun.
- Classroom Management:
- Create a positive, inclusive, and safe classroom environment.
- Establish and maintain age-appropriate classroom routines.
- Manage classroom behavior and guide children in socializing, sharing, and problem-solving.
- Child Development:
- Observe and assess individual children's progress, needs, and interests.
- Provide personalized attention to children who need extra support or encouragement.
- Foster social skills, emotional regulation, and independence in young learners.
- Develop and implement strategies for children with diverse needs (e.g., special needs or language barriers).
- Parent Communication:
- Maintain regular communication with parents through meetings, progress reports, and updates on the child’s development.
- Advise parents on activities to support learning and development at home.
- Collaboration:
- Work with other teachers, staff, and school management to ensure a cohesive and supportive learning experience.
- Attend staff meetings, training, and workshops to stay up-to-date with best practices in early childhood education.
- Health & Safety:
- Ensure the classroom is clean, organized, and safe.
- Supervise children during playtime, snack time, and other activities.
- Attend to the physical and emotional needs of children (e.g., restroom assistance, comforting a distressed child).
Qualifications & Skills:
- Education:
- Bachelor’s Degree in any subject, Montessori, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Experience:
- Previous experience working with young children (playgroup, nursery, or kindergarten level) is preferred.
- Experience in lesson planning and classroom management.
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Passion for early childhood education and nurturing young minds.
- Patience, creativity, and a positive attitude.
- Ability to engage children through play-based learning.
- Basic knowledge of child development milestones.
