Mother’s Helper (Part-Time) – In-Home Childcare

Location: Private residence

Schedule: Tuesday–Thursday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM (approximately 20–25 hours per week)

Start Date: late March

About the Role

We are seeking a warm, dependable Mother’s Helper to assist with caring for our two young children — a toddler (2 years old) and an infant (4 months old) — in our home. This role is designed to provide an extra set of hands alongside either mom or grandmother; you will not be solely responsible for both children at all times. The ideal candidate enjoys working with young children, is attentive and nurturing, and thrives in a collaborative, family-oriented environment.

Responsibilities

- Assist with active supervision and care of a toddler and infant

- Engage children in age-appropriate play, activities, and developmental interaction

- Support feeding, bottle prep, diapering, and nap routines as directed

- Help manage transitions between activities (meals, naps, outings, etc.)

- Maintain a safe, calm, and positive environment for the children

Important Notes

- This is a childcare-focused role only.

- No housekeeping, laundry, or non-childcare cleaning duties are required.

Qualifications

- Prior experience with infants and/or toddlers preferred

- Patient, reliable, and attentive personality

- Comfortable working alongside parents or grandparents

- CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain) is a plus

Compensation

- Competitive hourly rate based on experience
