Mother’s Helper / Family Assistant

Job Overview
We’re a busy family with two kids (ages 5 and 7) and a goldendoodle looking for a warm, reliable Mother’s Helper/Famklh assistant to join us a few days a week (roughly 3 days, 3–4 hours each — flexible on exact schedule). This is NOT a deep-cleaning role — we already have a cleaner for that. This is about keeping our home running smoothly and taking things off mom’s plate.

Responsibilities

• Pick up toys and tidy common areas
• Run and empty the dishwasher
• Do laundry — wash, dry, fold, and put away
• Supervise and play with the kids while I‘m home (if comfortable, not the main role)
• Run simple errands (returns, post office)
• Help with light meal prep or lunch/snack prep for the kids
• Other household tasks as they come up

Qualifications

• Proven experience in childcare roles such as babysitting, nannying, or working in daycare settings
• Must be comfortable with young children and dogs
• Reliable transportation and/or valid driver’s license
• Reliable and punctual — this is a recurring position and consistency matters
• Self-directed — able to assess what needs doing without step-by-step instruction
• References from families or childcare experience preferred
• Must be able to pass a background check
• CPR/First Aid certified (or willing to obtain)
