The Social Media Video Editor & Motion Designer is a highly creative and trend-savvy professional responsible for rapidly producing eye-catching, high-impact video content specifically optimized for social media advertising and organic short-form video platforms (Reels, TikTok, Shorts). This role is critical for driving engagement, awareness, and conversions within our digital campaigns.

Key Responsibilities

Short-Form Video Production & Editing

  • Rapid Iteration: Edit and transform existing footage (e.g., product demos, user-generated content, shoots) into multiple compelling, short-form video ads and organic posts, often under 60 seconds.
  • Platform Optimization: Ensure all content is optimized for specific platform requirements, including aspect ratios (9:16 vertical), safe zones, and file compression standards.
  • Pacing & Hooks: Master the art of the 3-second hook and maintain a fast, dynamic pace essential for retaining short-form video audience attention.
  • Sound Design: Effectively select and integrate trending, royalty-free audio tracks, popular sound effects, and voice-overs to enhance video appeal and align with platform trends.

Motion Graphics & Text Overlays

  • On-Screen Text: Design and animate engaging, clear, and highly legible text overlays and subtitles (often essential for sound-off viewing) that reinforce key marketing messages.
  • Brand Integration: Seamlessly integrate brand logos, calls-to-action (CTAs), and graphic elements using motion design principles.
  • Dynamic Graphics: Create quick, punchy motion graphics (e.g., statistic call-outs, product feature animations) to elevate the visual quality of the short-form content.

Advertising & Campaign Support

  • A/B Testing Assets: Prepare multiple versions of a single ad concept (e.g., variations in music, hook, CTA) to facilitate continuous A/B testing by the media buying team.
  • Trend Analysis: Proactively monitor and apply emerging social media trends, formats, and editing styles (transitions, visual effects) to maintain cultural relevance.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with the Marketing Team and Copywriters to translate campaign strategies and scripts into engaging visual stories.

Essential Skills and Qualifications

CategoryRequired SkillsSoftware MasteryExpert proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Adobe After Effects. Working knowledge of Photoshop/Illustrator for asset creation.Video ExpertiseProven experience creating high-performing Reels, TikToks, or YouTube Shorts for a brand or agency. Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: E£10,000.00 - E£20,000.00 per month
