Overview
As a Moving Sales Consultant, you’ll be the first and most important touchpoint for customers planning their move. You’ll guide prospects through the decision-making process, build trust quickly, ask the right discovery questions, generate accurate estimates, and close jobs efficiently.

This role also includes Channel Development—strengthening relationships with Realtors, property managers, senior living communities, and other strategic partners and affiliates who can drive consistent referrals.

Once a job is booked, you’ll hand it off cleanly to our Operations team so you can stay focused on generating new opportunities and delivering a great customer experience from the first interaction.

Key Responsibilities

Inbound Sales

  • Answer all inbound leads promptly via phone, web, and text with professionalism and energy
  • Provide fast, accurate estimates—ideally on the first call
  • Qualify customers using proven discovery questions and frameworks
  • Close moves efficiently while ensuring service quality and customer confidence

Outbound Sales & Channel Development

  • Conduct outbound calls, follow-ups, and relationship outreach
  • Build and nurture partnerships with Realtors, apartment communities, business affiliates, and other referral sources
  • Attend onsite visits, networking events, and partner meetings as needed
  • Conduct onsite Sales Assessments (when required) to create precise estimates

Process & Documentation

  • Schedule moves in coordination with the Austin-based Operations team
  • Use SmartMoving CRM to manage leads, document interactions, and track performance
  • Follow established scripts, pricing guidelines, and quoting frameworks
  • Maintain consistent pricing, including special items and complex move requirements

Performance

  • Meet or exceed daily activity expectations and monthly sales targets
  • Maintain high standards of accuracy, responsiveness, and customer follow-through

Qualifications & Skills

  • Moving industry, real estate, logistics, or home services experience is a plus
  • 1–3 years of phone-based sales, customer service, or inside sales required
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build rapport quickly
  • Coachable, team-oriented, and motivated by performance indicators
  • Comfortable using CRMs, quoting systems, and Google Workspace
  • Energetic, tech-savvy, and eager to grow
  • High attention to detail and task execution
  • On-site estimating experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $100,000.00 per year
