The General Purchasing Specialist is responsible for reviewing purchase requisitions from departments, issuing purchase orders, and posting invoices. This role also identifies cost-saving opportunities, implements process improvements, and negotiates contractual agreements to support organizational goals.

Analyze and establish contract requirements with facility and project suppliers.

Identify potential suppliers and ensure timely procurement of materials.

Develop purchasing procedures to meet internal customer requirements.

Assist staff and vendors with ordering and purchasing procedures, available funds, and related inquiries to facilitate the purchasing process.

Contact vendors to verify information and respond to inquiries.

Distribute purchase orders, vendor information, and outstanding order logs to provide reference documents for completing the purchasing process.

Evaluate purchase requisitions and backup documentation to ensure proper use of company funds in acquiring supplies, equipment, and/or services.

Maintain documents, files, and records to provide up-to-date references and audit trails for compliance.

Assess suppliers' quotations and proposals; process bids, incoming purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and mail.

Follow up on open orders and lead times to ensure timely deliveries.

Receive, verify accuracy, and post invoices related to all orders placed.

Research contracts, suppliers, equipment, laws, and regulations to recommend purchases and contracts.

Develop and enforce policies related to the company's purchasing activities.

Comply with and promote safety standards in the workplace.

Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, Supply Chain Management, Accounting, or a related field.

Ability to speak and write fluently in both Korean and English.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Strong problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.

Experience in an automotive manufacturing environment.

Knowledge of industrial materials and fabrication suppliers.

95% Office; 5% Floor.

8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Overtime as needed).

Occasional domestic and international travel as required.
