The Excel Specialist with an Accounts & Finance background will serve as a key contributor within the finance department by delivering advanced Excel-focused technical support, data analysis, and reporting solutions. This role involves creating complex financial models, performing financial analyses, and optimizing financial workflows through Excel-driven automation. The individual will also work closely with various teams to produce accurate, meaningful, and timely financial reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build advanced financial models and Excel-based spreadsheets to support analysis, budgeting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
- Work with the finance team to collect and interpret financial data, identify trends, and provide insights for management reporting and planning.
- Ensure financial data accuracy and completeness through data validation, reconciliations, and variance analysis in Excel.
- Improve and automate financial processes using advanced Excel functions, formulas, and macros.
- Offer expert technical support for Excel-related issues, including formula creation, macro development, and data manipulation.
- Conduct Excel training sessions for employees to enhance productivity and analytical capabilities.
- Stay current with new Excel tools and features and proactively share updates and recommendations with the team.
- Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities using Excel and related tools.
- Maintain clear documentation for Excel templates, macros, and workflows for training and future use.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience as an Excel Specialist or in a similar role with strong expertise in advanced Excel functions, formulas, macros, and analytical techniques.
- Solid understanding of data manipulation, visualization, and reporting methods.
- Comprehensive knowledge of advanced Excel tools such as PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, and conditional formatting.
