An Excel Specialist with a background in Accounts and Finance will be a key contributor to the finance team, offering advanced analytical, reporting, and technical expertise using Microsoft Excel. This role focuses on building sophisticated financial models, performing in-depth financial analysis, and optimizing finance-related workflows through Excel-based solutions. The individual will work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver accurate, meaningful, and timely financial insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and maintain advanced financial models and Excel-based tools to support budgeting, forecasting, analysis, and business decision-making.
- Partner with finance and other departments to collect, analyze, and interpret financial data, identifying trends and delivering actionable insights for management and strategic planning.
- Ensure the reliability and accuracy of financial data through validation checks, reconciliations, and variance analysis within Excel.
- Improve efficiency by automating financial processes using advanced Excel formulas, functions, and macros.
- Provide expert-level support for Excel-related challenges, including complex formulas, macro development, and data manipulation.
- Conduct Excel training sessions and knowledge-sharing initiatives to enhance productivity and analytical capabilities across the organization.
- Keep current with new Excel features and best practices, proactively recommending improvements and innovations to the team.
- Identify and implement opportunities for process enhancements and automation using Excel and complementary tools.
- Develop and maintain documentation for Excel templates, macros, and workflows to support consistency and future training.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related discipline.
- Demonstrated experience as an Excel Specialist or in a similar role, with strong expertise in advanced Excel functions, formulas, macros, and data analysis.
- Solid understanding of data management, visualization, and financial reporting standards.
- Advanced knowledge of Excel tools such as PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot, and conditional formatting.
