The MS Pipeline Engineer will be responsible for the design, planning, execution, and supervision of Mild Steel (MS) pipeline works for infrastructure projects such as water supply, sewerage, or industrial piping systems. The role involves ensuring that all pipeline installation and testing activities are carried out as per design specifications, safety standards, and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and supervise MS pipeline works including laying, jointing, welding, and hydrotesting.
- Review technical drawings, project specifications, and material submittals.
- Coordinate with design teams, contractors, and site engineers for smooth project execution.
- Ensure proper alignment, gradient, and quality of pipe laying as per approved drawings.
- Supervise welding and jointing works ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Manage material requirements including pipes, fittings, and accessories.
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports.
- Conduct quality checks and ensure compliance with relevant IS codes and project standards.
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, and vendors for approvals and inspections.
- Identify and resolve technical issues and site constraints during execution.
- Monitor workforce and ensure safety compliance at all stages of work.
Qualification & Experience:
- Education: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical / Civil Engineering or related field.
- Experience: 3–8 years of experience in MS pipeline execution (water supply / sewerage / industrial pipeline projects).
- Technical Skills:
- Knowledge of MS pipe laying, welding standards, and hydrotesting procedures.
- Familiarity with IS codes, drawings, and quality assurance documentation.
- Ability to read and interpret design drawings and P&IDs.
- Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD preferred.
