MSSC RESEARCHER

Job title: MSSC Researcher

Field/ Specialization: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, Health Professions Education, Medical Education, or a related field.

Roles and Responsibility:

1. Research Development & Project Management

2. Assist in conceptualizing and designing research studies in medical sciences and medical education.

3. Develop research proposals, protocols, ethics applications, and project timelines.

4. Conduct comprehensive literature reviews and identify research gaps.

5. Coordinate data collection using quantitative, qualitative, or mixed- methods approaches.

6. Oversee day-to-day project activities to ensure progress and compliance with research standards.

7. Data Analysis & Reporting Perform statistical data analysis using appropriate software (e.g., SPSS, R).

8. Interpret research findings and prepare technical reports, abstracts, and manuscripts.

9. Create research presentations, posters, and scholarly outputs for conferences.

10. Scholarly Writing & Publication Draft, revise, and prepare manuscripts for submission to peer-reviewed journals.

11. Ensure adherence to academic writing standards (AMA, APA, Vancouver).

12. Assist in responding to journal reviewers and revising manuscripts accordingly.

Collaboration & Capacity Building Work collaboratively with coordinators, medical 1. students, and simulation educators on research projects.

13. Mentor MSSC staff on research projects when needed.

14. Contribute to building the center’s research agenda and long-term scholarly output.

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Medical Sciences, Health Professions Education, Medical Education, or a related field.

2. Demonstrated experience in conducting research projects.

3. Experience writing and publishing in peer-reviewed journals.

4. Proficiency in academic writing and research ethics.

5. Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.

6. Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills.
