Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Supply Chain / Analytical Reporting

Position Summary:

The Management Trainee Officer (MTO) – Supply Chain/Analytical Reporting will support end-to-end supply chain operations while assisting in data analysis, reporting, and performance monitoring. The role is designed to develop future supply chain leaders by providing exposure to procurement, inventory management, logistics, planning, and analytical reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

1) Supply Chain Operations Support

  • Assist in procurement activities including vendor coordination, quotation comparison, and purchase order processing.
  • Support inventory management by maintaining stock records, monitoring stock levels, and identifying slow-moving/critical items.
  • Coordinate with logistics teams for transportation, order tracking, and timely material delivery.
  • Participate in demand forecasting and production planning activities.

2) Analytical Reporting & Data Management

  • Develop daily, weekly, and monthly supply chain performance reports.
  • Analyze supply chain KPIs such as lead time, OTIF, service levels, stock accuracy, and procurement cycle metrics.
  • Maintain dashboards using Excel, Power BI, or ERP-generated reports.
  • Extract and clean data from ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/ERPNext/etc.) for analysis.
  • Provide actionable insights based on operational data trends.

3) Process Improvement

  • Identify inefficiencies in procurement, inventory, or logistics processes and propose improvements.
  • Assist in automation initiatives and digital transformation projects within the supply chain department.
  • Support SOP documentation and process standardization efforts.

4) Cross-Functional Coordination

  • Work with Finance for invoice reconciliation and cost analysis.
  • Coordinate with Production/Operations teams for timely material availability.
  • Liaise with Quality Assurance for supplier evaluations and material inspection status.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, Power BI preferred).
  • Basic knowledge of Power BI/Tableau is an advantage.
  • Good communication and coordination skills.
  • Understanding of supply chain concepts (procurement, logistics, inventory, demand planning).
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and strong data accuracy.

Experience:

· Fresh or 1 to 2 years’ experience in relevant field

Education:

· Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field preferred.
