MuleSoft Tech Lead
Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of API-led connectivity using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform
- Define reusable integration patterns and API specifications (RAML/OpenAPI)
- Build and manage APIs and microservices using MuleSoft (Mule 4.x, DataWeave)
- Integrate cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Salesforce, SAP) and third-party systems
- Oversee CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, Docker, and Kubernetes
- Establish API governance, lifecycle management, and analytics
- Implement security protocols (OAuth2, JWT, SAML, SSL/TLS)
- Drive API monetization and consumption strategies
- Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices
- Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, and DevOps teams
- Troubleshoot production issues and ensure minimal downtime
- Continuously improve performance, scalability, and maintainability
Required Qualifications:
- Strong expertise in MuleSoft Anypoint Platform, including integration development, API‑led connectivity, and application network design.
- Hands‑on experience with MuleSoft platform administration, performance tuning, and security best practices.
- Proven ability to design and architect scalable integration solutions using modern design patterns and architectural principles.
- Deep understanding of integration needs within industrial manufacturing or similar complex enterprise environments.
- Strong skills in requirements gathering, solution structuring, and estimation/resource planning for integration projects.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including team management, cross‑functional collaboration, and driving execution excellence.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Relevant MuleSoft certifications, such as MuleSoft Certified Integration Architect and MuleSoft Certified Platform Architect.
Salary and Other Compensation:

The annual salary for this position is between $ 80,000– $ 130,000 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
