V2X is seeking an experienced Engineering Lead to oversee a multi-disciplinary team supporting the National Training Center Instrumentation System (NTC IS) and its associated networks and frequency spectrum. This leadership role involves managing the full lifecycle of engineering programs—from proposal and design through implementation, testing, sustainment, and modernization—ensuring alignment with local NTC IS and Department of Defense (DoD) objectives.

The Multi-Disciplined Engineer serves as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the MCCT systems and will be responsible for delivering technical analysis, Tier 3 troubleshooting support, and system improvement recommendations throughout the lifecycle of the devices. The engineer will also support lifecycle engineering with Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (FRACAS) and contribute to the analysis and reporting of Parts and Labor Cost Drivers for sustainment planning.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide Tier 3 technical support, including guidance on networking, SSMS, system administration, and advanced troubleshooting. This support provides engagement for 3500+ training devices maintained by 200+ technicians across 40+ locations.
  • Analyze corrective maintenance data and failure trends across hundreds of devices and workstations to inform reliability improvements.
  • Participate in engineering analyses and coordinate with Lifecycle Engineers to support sustainment planning and lifecycle cost reduction.
  • Develop and submit technical white papers addressing government Requests for Information (RFIs), technical challenges, or proposed system enhancements.
  • Collaborate directly with government stakeholders to align engineering support with mission requirements and future development needs.
  • Utilize modern tools and practices to manage data, document issues, and support configuration and system updates.
  • Maintain awareness of evolving system baselines and support validation of fielded components.

Required Skills:

  • Working knowledge of U.S. Mission Command Collective Training family of systems.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to effectively communicate with internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience providing leadership, technical direction, and guidance to multi-disciplined teams
  • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to support customer meetings, and integration
  • Strong accountability with the ability to work autonomously to deliver high quality work products on-schedule
  • Understanding of the System Engineering Lifecycle and processes
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen with the ability to obtain an Active DoD Secret Clearance

Desired Skills:

  • Extensive knowledge of U.S. Mission Command Collective Training family of systems.
  • installation events, and issue resolution
  • Current Active DoD Secret or higher Clearance

Education Requirements:

2+BA/BS or 1+MS or 4+AA or 6+No Degree


Salary Range - $88,000 to $130,000
