We are seeking a highly analytical and motivated
Multifamily Investment/Underwriting Analyst
to support our expanding Investment Team. This is a
hybrid role
offering strong exposure to acquisitions, underwriting, asset management, and strategic growth initiatives.
Position Summary
The Multifamily Investment/Underwriting Analyst plays a critical role in executing the company’s investment strategy. This individual will focus on the
initial evaluation, underwriting, and market analysis of multifamily acquisition opportunities
, while also contributing to broader initiatives across asset management, deal sourcing, and business development.
This role is ideal for someone who is
proactive, intellectually curious, and eager to grow within a fast-paced investment environment
—someone who seeks out opportunities to add value rather than simply executing assigned tasks.
Key Responsibilities

Perform
initial underwriting and financial analysis
of potential multifamily investments using operating statements, rent rolls, and financial models

Build and interpret
return metrics
, including IRR, cash-on-cash, and sensitivity scenarios

Conduct
market research, rental comps, and competitive analysis
to support investment assumptions

Analyze
demographic and economic trends
impacting target markets

Maintain and track the firm’s
acquisition pipeline
and potential deal flow

Support relationship management with
brokers, lenders, and industry partners
, including timely follow-up

Assist in
due diligence coordination
(third-party vendors, data rooms, financing materials, etc.)

Contribute to
asset management initiatives
across the existing multifamily portfolio

Participate in
weekly Investment Team meetings
and strategic discussions

Travel periodically within the Midwest for
site visits, client meetings, and industry events

Support special projects across acquisitions, operations, and business development
Requirements
-
Bachelor’s degree (BS/BA) required;
Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Real Estate strongly preferred
-
2+ years of experience
in multifamily underwriting and financial analysis.

Strong understanding of
commercial real estate financial modeling and key return metrics

Proficiency in analyzing
rent rolls, operating statements, and investment assumptions

Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling experience strongly preferred)
Preferred Qualifications

Experience with
multifamily underwriting

Exposure to
Midwest real estate markets

Familiarity with RED IQ preferred

Strong communication skills with the ability to present analysis clearly to stakeholders
