Afrimat Mining Services, based in Tygerberg Quarry has a vacancy for:

Multi Skilled Operator

Minimum Qualification / Requirements

• Grade 12.
• Licensing for Earth Moving machines such as an Excavator and Loader is a requirement.
• Knowledgeable in Hitachi ZX470 Excavator or a similar machine and CAT L966 Loader or a similar machine.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years experience in an open pit-mining.
• Experience in working in remote mining sites and in a cross-cultural working environment.
• Knowledgeable of Mine Health and Safety Act requirements.
• Able to work under pressure.
• Excellent communication and coordination skills.
• Ability to safely work, day and night shifts on a rotational basis.
• Able to work in harsh weather conditions.
  
  

Duties And Responsibilities (not Limited Not)

• Operate heavy equipment in compliance with the company’s operating and safety policies and procedures (Excavator and Loader).
• Completes required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation (pre – start checks and daily inspections).
• Provide recommendations for maintaining and improving environmental performance.
• Ensure that the equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner.
• Rotation between operating earth moving machines and assisting at Mobile Crushing equipment when required.
