POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Multimedia and Graphics Specialist is responsible for filming, producing, and editing multimedia including videos, photos, and motion graphics. The Multimedia and Graphics Specialist uses her/his skills to creatively, efficiently, and effectively build and broadcast multimedia that tell visual humanitarian stories and stimulate engagement with target audiences and inspire donation. This candidate must show commitment to IRUSA’s values, ethics, brand, vision, and mission.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Create and develop multimedia (photo/video/audio) content for various outlets including: events, social media, internal company videos, ads on various platforms, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, corporate training and other IRUSA projects.
  • Develop a script, storyboard, budget, allocate resources, set deadlines, and select optimal forms of media for projects
  • Plan video shoots; scout, select, and reserve shoot locations.
  • Record and edit video and sound projects, capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, creating and inserting static and motion graphics, titling, adding music/voice-over/sfx, media management and archiving project media.
  • Help coordinate domestic and international field visits (including travel, prep work, scheduling, coordination with photography/videography consent acquisition, etc.) to capture media and content for marketing use.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s photo and video library, ensuring assets are properly archived, tagged, up to date, and readily accessible as a reliable resource for teams across the organization
  • Work independently, as well as part of a team, to establish project deliverables.
  • Collaborate with internal clients and stakeholders to help facilitate the creation of multimedia content
  • Help in development of campaigns along with creative and marketing teams
  • Constantly learn about IRUSA projects and developing ways to share stories, and information about the projects that are easy for our audiences to understand.
  • Conceptualize, produce, proof, edit and/or otherwise assist with multimedia tasks and products
  • Under the direction of management, participate in the development of strategies and solutions for multimedia creation that are data-driven, work to amplify SEO, and are optimized for diverse platforms
  • Seek out, share, and implement recommendations for marketing, communications, and multimedia-related resources, products, best-practices, trends, etc. as approved.
  • Work with the marketing team to ensure adherence to brand, mission, vision, campaign themes, subject protection policy, redlines, accuracy, etc. as applicable to multimedia products throughout organization.
  • Seek out latest social media trends and create relatable content that reflects IRUSA’s values and current campaign
  • Create micro-content: taking long-form videos/interviews/news reports and cut out digestible content for short-form video consumption (reels / tiktok)
  • Work with Marketing Coordinator and Creative Manager as necessary to ensure clear communication and stellar customer service with clients regarding the production and delivery of requests.
  • Work independently or with a crew to film on-location or in-studio.
  • Help maintain photo/video-housing social media, including Youtube.
  • Seek out and participate in viable, efficient, and effective training to advance skill set and work performance as approved by manager.
  • Support the design team with related projects such as web graphic creation, social media graphics, and simple document editing.
  • Meets client deadlines and takes responsibility for adhering to project timelines.
  • Embraces constructive feedback and actively participates in providing critique to support team growth and enhance project outcomes.

QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
  • Associate, Bachelor’s, or higher degree in Multimedia, Video Production, or related field.
  • 1-2 years experience in a related multimedia creative role.
  • Portfolio of effective multimedia product samples that show both marketing and reporting-styles of work.
  • Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Photoshop, and Adobe Lightroom.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
  • Strong video and photo shooting, filming, and editing skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced photography/videography directorial skills.
  • Flexibility in work schedule (i.e. evenings and weekends as necessary) and willing and able to travel.
  • Proficiency in both MAC and Windows environments.
  • Experience in typography and graphic design.
  • Experience with video and photo-house social media platforms, such as Youtube.
  • Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage day-to-day work challenges.
  • Ability to work well with diverse work styles and personalities in a team-based approach.
  • Exhibits sound decision making, prioritizes work appropriately, and requires minimal supervision.
  • Ability to take instruction, guidance, and constructive criticism well, and implement as necessary.
  • Fluent in English.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Knowledge of running a live show

PREFERRED SKILLS:
  • At least one year working in a nonprofit environment.
  • Experience working with WordPress template
  • Previous experience in community engagement, public affairs, volunteering, event management, or social media.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, including Excel.
  • Proficiency in written Arabic, Urdu, Farsi, Spanish, or Turkish.
  • Proficiency in WordPress templates., Google Suites and Office Products, PowerPoint, and Google Slides.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and Salesforce.
  • Proficiency with music editing software
  • Willingness to be on camera
