Research, develop, and produce original multimedia stories that align with Carilion Clinic's brand, mission, and strategic priorities.
Plan, shoot, edit and deliver video content for use across owned, earned and internal channels including websites, social media, email, internal communications, media pitches, and marketing campaigns with a primary goal of advancing the brand and supporting marketing and communications initiatives.
Conduct interviews with patients, physicians, researchers, executives, caregivers, and community partners, ensuring accuracy, sensitivity, and compliance with HIPAA and patient privacy standards.
Film events highlighting new buildings, programs or services and create video content to integrate with marketing communications plans to promote them.
Collaborate closely with creative, marketing strategists, communications, social media and content developers and service line teams to identify storytelling opportunities that support organizational objectives and key marketing/communications focus areas.
Support media relations and reputation management efforts by developing visual and multimedia assets that are used for, or complement, earned media coverage.
Support video team by helping create videos such as testimonials, physician profiles, service line features, community stories and executive communications.
Manage multiple projects simultaneously, monitoring content, workflow, and timelines to ensure deadlines and stakeholder needs are met using effective project coordination and collaborative approaches in a fast-paced, news-driven environment.
Maintain high standards for journalistic integrity, visual quality, accessibility, and brand consistency.
Stay current with multimedia storytelling trends, digital platforms, and emerging tools relevant to healthcare communications.
Represent Carilion Clinic professionally when working on-site at hospitals, clinics, community events, and off-site locations. Build and nurture effective working relationships with colleagues and external stakeholders to support strong professional outcomes.
Consistently deliver the best in customer service and patient care. As a team member, demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with patients, families, visitors and employees.

Education: A bachelor’s degree is required. 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Experience: A minimum of 3 years of related experience is required. Completion of a master’s degree in a related field, combined with relevant experience, may be used in lieu of the experience requirement.
Licensure/Certification: None required.

Other Minimum Qualifications: Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, including presentation abilities. Requires strong analytical thinking, interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment. Must be proficient with Microsoft Office applications. Requires strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects, and the flexibility to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced environment. Must be able to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information appropriately.
