Multimedia Officer - Temporary Contract
To be responsible for providing professional audio, video, and photography services which will include operating digital/video cameras, lighting, and sound recording tools, in order to provide high-quality image and video footage of official activities and events at the University of Sharjah, as well as archive these media productions in order to use them for various marketing and branding activities.
Operate and configure professional media equipment (video cameras, DSLR cameras, audio systems, studio lighting, microphones) for high-quality content production.
Set up and assemble studio and on-location equipment, ensuring proper framing, composition, and technical capture standards.
Record audio and video coverage of university events across on-campus and remote locations.
Edit and produce video, photography, documentary, and promotional content using professional post-production software.
Apply advanced lighting techniques and digital enhancement methods to produce high-resolution visual outputs.
Implement cross-media design standards while ensuring copyright compliance, proper credits, and legal usage of media assets.
Maintain, troubleshoot, and manage multimedia equipment, accessories, and software, including warranty and servicing coordination.
Manage and update the digital photography archive/database, ensuring organized storage and availability of high-quality media assets.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to prepare professional documents, in both Arabic and English.
- Excellent working knowledge of personal computer applications with an emphasis on MS Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Teams.
- Proficient in using various cameras, lenses, and lighting equipment.
- Good knowledge of photo editing software such as Adobe Photoshop, Light Room, Capture One, etc.
- Good knowledge of video editing software such as Adobe After Effects, Premiere Pro, etc.
- Good skills in colour correction, sound editing, and special effects.
- Ability to capture clear and high-quality audio, using microphones and other audio equipment.
- Ability to convey a story or message through images or video.
- A good understanding of visual composition principles, rule of thirds, and depth of field.
- Good knowledge of natural and artificial lighting, including setting up and adjusting lighting equipment.
- A strong sense of aesthetics and the ability to create visually appealing content.
- High attention to detail.
- Ability to work long hours on location, often in demanding conditions.
- Minimum of bachelor’s in Multimedia, Communication, Fine Arts, or any related discipline.

2-4 years of UAE experience in a similar role, preferably in higher education institutions.
