The Multimedia Production Specialist assists the Oklahoma City Zoo’s Public Relations team in capturing and producing compelling visual content that highlights the Zoo’s animals, people, and conservation work. The Multimedia Production Specialist is responsible for filming, photographing, and editing original content used across the Zoo’s internal platforms (website, social media, digital communications, presentations) and external channels (media outlets, marketing campaigns, events, and partnerships). This position helps showcase the Zoo’s mission through visual storytelling and supports efforts to grow the OKC Zoo’s visibility as a leading conservation organization and one of Oklahoma’s most visited cultural attractions.

Starting Pay: $48,501.00-$60,626.00 Annually
Experience Required : Two (2) years videography and photography experience
Minimum Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Multimedia Communications/Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field.
Department: Marketing and Public Relations.
Direct Supervisor: Director of Public Relations.

Essential Job Functions
An employee in this position may be called upon to do any or all of the following essential duties:
Responsible for filming, scripting, and editing video content.
Identify and develop compelling visual stories that highlight animal care, conservation efforts, education programs, and guest experiences.
Work with Digital Content Specialist to create compelling videos and photography to support the social media efforts of the OKC Zoo.
Proactively capture images and video footage of the Zoo’s animal family, team members, gardens/grounds, education programs, special events, and other related areas.
Produce photo and video assets aligned with the Zoo’s brand standards and strategic communication goals.
Plan and coordinate video shoots including storyboarding, scheduling, and production logistics.
Organize, tag, and maintain the Zoo’s digital photo and video asset library for efficient retrieval and long-term storage.
Manage department video and photography equipment.
Support media requests by capturing or preparing photo and video assets for news outlets.
Ensure video content meets accessibility standards including captioning and formatting for digital platforms.
Support all photography needs for external and internal communications.
Assist in the management of the OKC Zoo’s internal and external video platforms.
