Multimedia Specialist

Summary of Work

Are you a creative problem-solver with a passion for design and technology? We're looking for a Multimedia Specialist to join our team! In this role, you'll manage our website, create visually compelling digital content, and ensure all online materials meet ADA accessibility standards.

What You'll Do:

  • Design graphics for web, social media, and digital campaigns
  • Maintain and update internal and external website content for accuracy and usability
  • Ensure compliance with ADA and WCAG accessibility guidelines
  • Monitor social media through engagement and responsiveness
  • Support digital strategy and enhance user experience

What We're Looking For:

  • Experience in graphic design and web content management.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and web content management systems (CMS).
  • Knowledge of HTML/CSS and basic web development principles.
  • Familiarity with ADA and WCAG accessibility guidelines.
  • Proven ability to edit and proofread for grammar, clarity, and consistency.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects.
  • Experience with SEO best practices.
  • Understanding of responsive design and user-centered products and services.
  • Ability to work independently, but also collaboratively across multiple areas.

Minimum Qualifications

To be considered for this position, you must have the following:

  • a bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Web Design, Communications, or a related field plus at least one (1) year of relevant work experience
  • or a combination of education (minimum high school diploma or equivalent), training, and experience which demonstrates equivalent knowledge, skills, and abilities

Scoring Process:

Our hiring process is designed to be fair, transparent, and focused on your qualifications. Applications will be scored based on a 100-point candidate questionnaire. Final scores determine which qualified applicants advance to the interview stage.

Applicants claiming veteran's preference must submit documentation proving eligibility under North Dakota Century Code 37-19.1 to be awarded veterans' preference points. Refer to the ND Veterans Affairs website for required documentation to upload.
