Multimedia Specialist/Web Analyst

Summary

As a multi-faceted role, this position will be responsible for designing visually stunning graphics, developing and updating websites, and producing high-quality video content. This is a District-Wide function for the Institution. The Multimedia Specialist/Web Analyst is responsible for written and graphic content for the institutional web site as well as for supporting websites such as news, events, blog and library, and works in coordination with the Director of Marketing and Recruiting and other members within the department.

This position ensures that web content is current, consistent, understandable, and accessible and that it maintains Holmes Community College publication and graphics standards. The Multimedia Specialist/Web Analyst will co-manage with IT as the portal administrator for MyHolmes and co-manage the social media accounts for the college (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, etc.) to ensure quality information is placed on official Holmes Community College social media avenues. This position will be housed on the Goodman Campus.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Draft, edit, design, and maintain content for Holmes Community College websites to ensure consistent quality, improve website optimization, and contribute to other content creation efforts.
  • Monitor website analytics and manage digital campaigns.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure a consistent and effective website appearance.
  • Ensure requested changes to the college’s web assets is done in a timely manner by following up with requests in the Service Request System.
  • Record and edit promotional video for Holmes Community College.
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  • Design visual materials such as logos, brochures, and other marketing collateral using Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to bring creative ideas to life.
  • Ensure all multimedia assets are optimized for print or web standards and meet accessibility standards

Minimum Job Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree preferred with five (5) years of experience in web administration, content management, graphic design, video production or related field.
OR
Associate’s degree in a related field with five (5) or more years of relevant professional experience, including experience in graphic design for both web and print media.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Strong oral and written communication skills to clearly and persuasively communicate with both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proficient with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, InDesign as well as familiarity with basic Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong grammatical and editing skills.
  • Online portfolio showcasing creative work in graphic design, web and/or video production.
