Essential Functions

  • Shelving of books, scores, and sound recordings
  • Retrieve, check in, and check out recordings and course reserve materials to library patrons
  • Refer research questions or problems to librarians
  • Assist patrons with using the photocopier, printer, and/or scanner
  • Answer phone and directional questions
  • Participate in various library projects, including scanning materials for digital projects, data entry, and assisting with library gifts

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be dependable, punctual, and have good work habits
  • Consistent attention to detail, including the ability to file in alphabetical and numeric order
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Available to work some evenings and weekends
  • Music majors and/or library experience preferred
  • Federal Work Study preferred but not required
