Music Production Teacher - LTS, 0.083 FTE - Shakopee High School

Description:
Shakopee Public Schools is looking for a .083 FTE Teacher for the 2025-2026 school year at Shakopee High School for the period of 11/10/25 to 1/23/26. This position will teach Music Production 1 which introduces the students to the fundamentals of creating, writing and recording music. The course will cover the roots of popular music, basic music theory, beginner songwriting, and an introduction to sound recording.

Shakopee High School is an Academy school focusing on post-secondary planning which include trades, careers, and post-secondary education. Job Summary:
Provides instruction in content area in accordance with each student's ability and creates a classroom environment that fosters student learning and personal growth. Establishes effective working relationships with students and parents, works collaboratively with other staff members.

Qualifications:

• Valid MN teaching license in Music or willingness and eligibility to obtain an Out of Field Permission (OFP)
• Experience with multiple instructional designs and differentiated instruction
• Strong classroom management skills
• Effective communication skills
• Ability to build successful relationships with students, parents and staff
