Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Education Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will inspire students to engage in physical activity, promote healthy lifestyles, and develop their physical skills through a variety of sports and fitness activities. This role requires creativity in lesson planning and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with autism and other learning differences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging physical education curricula that align with educational standards.
- Teach students the importance of physical fitness, teamwork, and sportsmanship through various activities and sports.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback to support their development in physical education.
- Foster a safe and inclusive classroom environment that encourages participation from all students.
- Collaborate with other educators to integrate literacy education and math concepts into physical education lessons when applicable.
- Provide tutoring support for students who may need additional help in understanding the importance of physical activity and health.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and participation in class activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and any concerns related to their child’s participation in physical education.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working with students in a classroom setting is essential; experience working with children on the autism spectrum is highly desirable.
- Strong skills in creative writing to develop engaging lesson plans and instructional materials.
- Familiarity with standardized testing protocols related to physical education is a plus.
- Ability to integrate literacy education into physical activities effectively.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to interact positively with students, parents, and colleagues.

Pay: $42,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
