Expresiones Music Academy is a growing music school serving kids, teens, and families. To be considered for this position you at least 4-5 guitar experience. Music education not required but it is definetely a plus. We are looking for a responsible, patient, and motivated Music Teacher to teach primarily guitar.

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys teaching beginners, values structure, and wants to be part of a professional learning environment—not just give casual lessons.

Key Responsibilities

• Teach weekly music lessons following Expresiones’ teaching guidelines and curriculum
• Work primarily with beginner and intermediate students (children and teens)
• Maintain an organized, focused, and positive learning environment
• Guide students through their lesson books, exercises, and assigned practice
• Track student progress and communicate relevant updates to staff when needed
• Prepare students for recitals, performances, or internal activities when applicable
• Arrive on time, prepared, and ready to teach for every scheduled lesson
• Follow academy procedures regarding attendance, class flow, and student care
• Treat students, parents, and staff with professionalism and respect

What We’re Looking For

• Strong proficiency in guitar (required)
• Strong preference for candidates with formal music studies and proficiency in reading sheet music
• Comfortable teaching children and beginners
• Reliable, punctual, and consistent
• Patient, encouraging, and clear communicator
• Able to follow structured teaching systems and lesson flow
• Professional attitude and willingness to improve as an instructor

Preferred (Not Required)

• Previous teaching or tutoring experience
• Spanish/English bilingual
• Experience teaching in a school or academy setting
