Job Summary

The Part-Time Music Teacher will teach vocal and/or instrumental music to students for a few hours each day or on selected days of the week. The teacher will create engaging lessons, guide students in performances, and support the school’s music activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct music classes (vocal and/or instrumental) as per the scheduled hours.
• Teach basic music concepts such as rhythm, melody, beats, notes, and singing techniques.
• Prepare students for assemblies, competitions, cultural programs, and annual day performances.
• Organize short practice sessions and encourage regular participation.
• Maintain discipline and create a positive learning environment.
• Handle musical instruments carefully and report any maintenance needs.
• Provide feedback on student progress to parents or coordinators when needed.

Required Skills

• Strong knowledge of vocal music and/or instruments (keyboard, guitar, tabla, harmonium, etc.).
• Ability to teach students from different age groups.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• Creativity in planning music activities and performances.

Qualifications

• Degree, diploma, or certification in Music (preferred).
• Prior teaching experience in schools or music academies is an advantage.
• Passion for teaching children.

• Flexible for rehearsals and events if needed.
