The Role
- Teach MYP English (Language & Literature), with a strong focus on engagement with texts, language development, and critical thinking
- Teach MYP Individuals & Societies through an integrated humanities approach, drawing on disciplines such as history, geography, economics, civics, and related social sciences, rather than teaching them as separate subjects

- Integrate external curriculum standards (e.g., Common Core for English; AERO for Social Studies) within the IB framework
- Use assessment to track progress while prioritising student engagement, growth, and individual pathways
- Seek meaningful links between subjects and contribute to interdisciplinary learning
- Collaborate with Primary colleagues to ensure strong vertical progression in both English and Individuals & Societies
- Embrace educational technology and digital tools, including the effective use of AI, to enhance learning
The Ideal Profile
- Proven experience teaching the MYP (essential)
- Confident teaching English and Individuals & Societies as separate subjects
- Experience or strong comfort across multiple Individuals & Societies disciplines
- Skilled planner, able to manage complexity across grades, standards, and learner profiles
- Experience supporting EAL learners within mainstream classrooms
- Collaborative, flexible, and comfortable working in a developing school environment
